But I come from a place of love — I actually like these crazy kids together and want it all to work out as well as I think her hair and outfit did. Come see, with a little bonus body-language speculation. Sorry. I can’t resist. In fairness, I would have made much the same comments without that divorce rumor, so there’s that.

I am in love with her make up. She herself has said she has an affinity for ‘tranny’ make up, but this softer look makes her actually look better. I’m sure she is hanging on to whatever she has left of her over processed hair, so not too shabby for what she has left. Russell is wearing his usual, not much to say there that hasn’t already been said.
I totally agree – if somebody can tell me what color, brand and finish she’s using on her lips, I will buy it today. LOVE IT! I too like these two together. Perhaps if Russell took a shower periodically, or perhaps groomed himself, it could go a long way toward harmony. I’d have to chop that mop off in the middle of the night and go after that facial rug next.
I think this is the best Katy Perry has ever looked, even with the weird hair color.
I like the bob but I wish she’d go back to brunette as she was just stunning with dark hair and it made her eyes pop.
I’m completely in love with this odd colored bob on her. She has a great face, so it helps to pull her through when her hair is transitioning, but I really think this haircut works with her personality but also just in general. I like it.
And I like these two together. I have high hopes that they last forever and are happy and a bit odd and raise awesome-looking and interesting children and grow old together.

Yeah, I don’t see his appeal, either. The longer I look at his face, the odder it seems. I think I finally figured out that if you take away the facial hair, he’s very feminine looking — or at least, androgynous. Not that that’s a bad thing, but not my cuppa tea. Also, I tend to find his movies pretty irritating (Arthur = 110 minutes of my life that I will never get back). However, I will say that I happened to catch him guest-hosting Good Morning America a couple of weeks ago, and once I was able to wrap my head around him and Kelly Ripa together, I found him very funny and charming. Very snappy dappy, as my husband would say.

Ms Perry looks cute, she is very attractive when not in performance drag. Maybe she IS preg, and wants to keep harsh chemicals away from the Russel spawn and is thus just letting the hair grow out.

I HATE the hair color. I understand the awkward transition phases, but I agree with Lisa and Jen that the dark hair really suits her. Dress is awesome, somehow ladylike for a studded Versace sheath.

Huh. Katy is totally looking like she could be the younger cousin of Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Anniston when Reese played Jen’s little sister on Friends. I dig the lighter hair and more natural make-up waaaay more than the painted lady look she usually sports. Makes her look at least 5 years younger, which is considerable at her age.
Aw, she’s so… pretty! I never would have guessed that under all the crazy hair, make-up and costumes was a bona fide, pretty girl.
It’s so nice to see what she actually looks like — this is still a LOT of makeup, but at least it’s a lighter palette instead of the usual cartoon scrawl.

Whew! I was really worried until the last picture. In the first five, she’s hugging him like a younger brother who mooches off Mom and shows up unannounced and wants to crash on the sofa and borrow the car.
I think she looks fantastic. The hair is cute, the makeup is beautiful, great skin, and she’s really smiling instead of the usual posing.

Russell only has eyes for the camera. He seems to have forgotten she’s there.
As if the forced closeness and facial expressions weren’t evidence enough that there is trouble in the Perry-Brand household, check out the way his hand is on her waist in the first pic. You can tell a lot about the way a man holds a woman’s waist and his hand not being wrapped around her waist is a huge sign that he has disconnected.

No one else seems to have picked up on this typo, but I’m quite enjoying it.
I think it’s the toned down make-up and hair that doesn’t look like a wig and outfit that a normal celebrity would wear that makes us all happy with this.
The makeup and lack of expression (compared to her usual) is making her look kinda like K.Stew’s less flattering photos…
