Well Played, Megan Fox

well-played

Here are some words I haven’t said in a while: looking good, Megan Fox:

Not to mention that it seems like a pretty good career move to come out of, well, nothingness of late to appear in an indie-feeling movie with a ton of people who were in Bridesmaids, plus Adam Scott. All that, AND a cute trench. That time off did her good.

Let’s look at what’s under the coat:

I’d have swapped out the shoes — and added a smile — but your career renovation is already going to my liking, kid. Say hi to Brian Austin Green for us. He is so precious to us.

Coat cute, dress cute, shooves… no cute. A solid B. :)

Those shoes are hideous! It looks like she’s been stomping around in fudge! The dress is very pretty but it’s not really doing much for her figure, although it has significantly classed her up.

Im on board with this. Good job Megan! Keep it up!

Love everything about this outfit except for the shoes but I’ll let it go. She looks great. A-

When she tones down the vamp, like with this dress which is lovely, I notice she looks an awful lot like Lara Flynn Boyle. While this isn’t a dress that maximizes her best body assets, she has such a slim figure that she can totally pull off something that adds inches to her. Not everyone could wear this and she’s doing it well!

And apparently she forgot to pee before she left the house. Embarrassing!

I understand someone pioneered the legs-crossed-while-standing pose for maximum starlet figure display, but it always looks to me like they’ve got their legs on wrong. Her dress is pretty, and the shoes aren’t actually bothering me that much. I love the trench. For some reason, navy blue looks so much more interesting when it’s on a party dress instead of a suit.

You know, I need to start looking at the people who are doing this, because I find myself standing like this, totally without photographers in view or intent to maximise my figure display, and I often do it while wearing my larger platforms. It’s comfortable for me, and feels nicely balanced in a clomper of a shoe, somehow. I wonder if the “shooves” trend is contributing to the spread of X-leg pose?

Anyway, these shoes aren’t my favourite ever, but Megan looks good, like an attractive person instead of a Maxim pinup.

Agreed, I stand like this all the time. I’ve never thought that people might think I need to go toilet! I wear ultra high heels and it’s easier to balance when you stand like this.

…. plus she’s been keeping busy getting all her jailhouse tattoos lasered off.

What is with the trend for hideous, crippling shoes? I don’t get it. Do you REALLY need a 5 inches of platform as well as a giant heel?

  11. LoriK

What is with all the ugly, uglyl shoes? This trend to nastly silly putty colored hooves has been going on for a long time and I just don’t get it. Are there really that many people who think the nude hoof is a great look?

    • Alaurable

Nude shoes (or shoes that are similar to your skin colour) make your legs look longer, ditto for big heels. I’m bigger on the bottom with a long torso and short legs and nude heels really do work to balance out my figure. I don’t really think Megan has this issue but I understand wanted to look your hottest when you’re on the red carpet.

She looks nice here, and I must be the only one, but I like the shoes. Not with this outfit, but with something else, they could be good. Now, let’s hope she’s changed when she opens her mouth.

I like the shoes too. They seem more tan than nude to me, and interesting with the contrast toe. And the platform is only likw an inch or so, so pretty much they’re like my office shoes.

      I wish she would smile.
And ditto that thing about being different when she opens her mouth.

Shoes with a pop of color would be good. And deep-sixing the platforms, obviously. Also, it apparently is possible to make a beige dress that doesn’t look like a laundry failure. This is really pretty. Furthermore, it covers her from shoulders to knees, so that’s an improvement too.

Agreed on the dress and coat, cute!! But those shooves!!!!!!!!!! Really, when will this “fashion” trend go away?

I don’t think I’ve actually seen her in a movie and lets face it, I don’t know her, but she always looks like such a biatch, even in the candid pap photos. Nothing to do with the clothes of course but sometimes a smile can do wonders. Even if you are wearing shooves.

She definitely needs different shoes, some nail polish, and a smile, but otherwise this is a-okay to me. Also (yes, I’m going there) she really needs to stop messing with her face, it looks a little….nipped and tucked. She’s only 25!

I thought the same thing. I think that she recently had some (more) work done!

Coat, dress, and hair all great. But WHY is she still going around making that face? Smile! Be less concerned with sexyface. It almost angers me more that she looks so great otherwise.

Does Tyra have a word for the cross between a gaze and a smirk? Smirze?

  18. Josephine

Huh. Going with a classic femme ’50s silhouette (and NOT an overdone parody of same) is actually a good look on her. Her face/body/expression are so hardcore modern pop-vamp that this type of styling softens her just enough, rather than making her look twee. It makes her come off a bit more subtle, and that’s a very good thing. The shoes are a failure, but overall she looks quite pulled-together and thoughtful.

Pretty hair, face, coat, dress, all the way down to the ankles. The we get to the horrid tat and odious Silly Putty lumps that are the shooves.

The coat made me think she is attempting to channel Kate Middleton. Which I mean as a compliment. But those shoes need to GO.

It’s really too bad that I despise her and long for her career to meet its inevitable, fiery demise cuz she sure is purty.

STOP it with the ridiculous gotta-pee stance, ladies. Just stop.

Imagine if all the guys suddenly started crossing their feet posing on the red carpet… Ridiculous, right? Thing is? It doesn’t look ANY less ridiculous—idiotic—when the women do it. So stop.

    • LIlibet

Agree completely with gryt.I hate that pose with a vengeance! It gives the impression of a little girl who is unsure of herself. Stand proud, woman!

Sometimes I think it’s because they walk and stop, walk and stop, walk and stop, so they just sort of park mid-stride sometimes.

She has a natural vampiness that will show up no matter what she wears so I’m glad she’s wearing something sweet in contrast to that. Having said that, I hate the dress. It turns MEGAN FOX into a box. Also I hate all-beige outfits, and no, ecru is not an accent colour. The pose is just the latest photo trend, and it’s nothing compared to that obnoxious and unflattering “blowing a kiss” bullshit. Now that’s a pose I can really get my hate behind.

I approve of Megan Fox fucking off for a while and then coming back as a small player in an ensemble comedy. That is a smooth move for a lady that needs to make a re-entrance.

I love the new look. I hate you guys for making me IMDB Megan Fox to figure out what indie film she’s in

Cute dress, and I agree the shoes could’ve been swapped out. Her makeup looks a little less scary in this picture than she sometimes appears; I always want to tell her to tone down the make-up. I actually caught Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (again!) on cable the other day and she looked sooo pretty in it. I know that was 8 years ago, but she’s only about 25 or 26, but I usually think her makeup is too harsh.

An unfortunate ‘bitch look at me pose’ but dress is decent for once. Now she just needs to change her personality…

She looks like Lindsay Lohan and, as a previous poster commented, Lara Flynn Boyle got cheese-grated together. She is also from my hometown, though I don’t really like people to know that…which they do now, I realize…

That coat is marvellous and I actually ooh-ed at the dress after the jump. Never noticed the shoes until I read the comments but yes, nude heels just need to go away now.

It’s as if she (or her stylist) looked at that recent event where the ever-charming Emma Stone rocked a lovely dress with a sassy trench over it and said, “We should try that.” And, brava, it looks great on her. But, where Emma overflows with charm, Miss Megan is completely lacking in any warmth at all. In the first pic, she looks just sad and in the second, she looks like she’s ready to throttle someone.

As for the shoes, I don’t have a problem with the color (I know I am in the minority here, but I actually think there are many circumstances where a shoe that matches you skin tone is pitch perfect and I actually like it here), but I do object to the hoof-ness. As always. I don’t know how you can make hoofshoes worse, but she did: spectator hoofshoes!

Any clue what her bag looked like? It would have been nice if she had a pop of color.

I saw the 1st picture and just said “WOW!” She is naturally GORGEOUS, but this look on her is ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING! So beautiful, elegant and sexy, yet ladylike! LOVE the dress, the coat, the shoes and her hair & makeup! FAB!!!

While I actually think the shoes aren’t that bad, I wonder why she had to butcher her face like this. She was so pretty before all the touch ups. Pretty dress though.

Adding to the heinousness of the shoe is the fact that it’s miles too big – why is that so often the case with the young’uns? Do they get sent standard sizes that they’re obliged to wear, fit be damned? Vraiment, je ne comprends pas!

Meanwhile dress and trench are faboosh.

It’s so cute I feel like someone I like better should wear it. she should be in something leather and skanky.

In the first pic, she’s either about to awkwardly twirl like an O’Jay, or she’s got to pee.

Either way, not a good still pose.

She looks very pretty. The dress and coat are good on her.
